This section describes cleaning procedures for GEF & GEF-VH Series Fryers. Typically, general cleaning should be
performed daily.
1
This section explains how to clean the Fry Pot using the
Boil-Out Procedure
. A Boil-Out must be performed before
cooking on new equipment, and should be performed each time before fresh oil is added after used cooking oil is
removed from Fryer and discarded.
IMPORTANT! For proper cooking performance and Fryer operation, the Boil-
Out procedure should be performed at least every 10 to 14 days.
•
The Boil-Out process does not require a rolling boil, however, DO NOT leave the Fryer unattended during the
procedure. Fryer should be carefully monitored for accidental overflow, that may result in serious equipment
damage.
•
The boil-out solution and the Fryer will be HOT at end of the cycle ... always wear thermal protection when
draining and cleaning.
6. Cleaning
•
DO NOT wash down the unit interior or exterior with water from a spray hose or any pressure-type washer.
•
Failure to comply with DANGER notices will result in death or serious injury, equipment or property damage,
and void the warranty.
