Verifying Connectivity from Site Server to Each CRIND Device
To verify connectivity from the site server to each CRIND device, proceed as follows:

At the CRIND device, swipe the CRIND Diagnostic Card (Q12534-170).

for the Main Menu.

for Applause Media System.

for Troubleshoot SM Connectivity.

Press
ENTER
to continue. The screen will display the message, “Test in Progress”.
Upon completion, the display will report success or failure.
Simulating Transaction to Verify Default Promotional Content
To simulate a transaction to verify the default promotional content, proceed as follows:

At the CRIND device, swipe the CRIND diagnostics card.

for the Main Menu.

for Applause Media System.

for Simulate SM Session.

Press

for side of dispenser on which you are working.

Press
ENTER
to continue. You will either see the default promotion “Come Inside and Save”
or real promotions depending on whether or not the server has synchronized content with the
Control Center.

Reboot the server and LRE after any upgrades and start-ups, especially if no content is
showing up on the dispenser CRIND display.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
When satisfied, press
CANCEL
to end the session.
An alternate method to simulate a transaction would be to run a transaction and dispense a
small amount of the product.
