Start-up Preparation
Before going to the site, ensure the following:
• The latest versions of pump and CRIND software are present on your laptop. Update the
software, if required.
• V5.5 or later Internet Explorer (IE) browser installed on your laptop. Communicate with
the site and obtain information about the site’s communication scheme and IP settings.
• For color display, ensure that you use the latest version of site server software, along with
the site server software USB drive or CD-ROM.
• Site has determined and installed the appropriate cable for communication between the
store and the forecourt (Ethernet or twisted-pair DSL).
Before Start-up
Ensure that all dispensers and CRIND devices are upgraded to the correct versions of
software and/or hardware.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Before start-up, ensure the following:
• The ASC has reviewed the installation to ensure that a safe and proper installation was
performed.
• AC power is available and secured for all components.
• All Gilbarco Site Server equipment is on the same electrical phase as all other Gilbarco
equipment.
• All components that require power are connected to the power source on the same phase.
• If the site server will be integrated with the customer’s loyalty program, ensure that the
CRIND ID numbers match the POS fueling position numbers. This is required to correctly
identify loyalty customers at the forecourt.
The Gilbarco Site Server must be connected to a power supply all the time.
Do not connect to a power source that will be disconnected or turned off.
CAUTION
Powering up Equipment
Some devices may have communication and/or power indicators. Check these indicators after
power is turned on, according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Allow up to two to three
minutes for all devices to go through their power-up sequence.
Powering up Gilbarco Site Server
Plug the Gilbarco Site Server power cord into the dedicated power outlet. Allow time for the
power-up sequence (about three minutes) to complete.
