If you are using a telephone connected by a cord in addition to your cordless telephone, we rec-
ommend that you keep the largest possible distance between the base station and the tele-
phone. This will help to avoid any possible sound distortions (for technical reasons) in the
telephone.

telephones, for example:

If you are also planning to use the telephone on your property outside of your home, then you
should set up the base station:
Set up location/ Selection of assembly location
When selecting the set up location you should consider the following criteria:
1. The telephone connection cable should reach to the socket for the ISDN connection.
2. There should be an electric 220/230V electric socket at the set up site to ensure
supply of
electricity
for the base station.
3. The set up site should not be near other devices, such as stereo and office equipment or mi-
crowave ovens, to avoid any possible interference.
The base station is designed for use in protected areas within a
temperature range
between 0
and +50 °C. For example, it should not be located in the bath, in the kitchen, in a damp cellar or
near a source of heat, such as a room heater. Direct sunlight should also be avoided.
