Follow the below steps to remove an Expansion Card from Expansion Card Riser:
1. If applicable, connect the cables to the expansion card.
2. Install the expansion card riser
3. If applicable, install the air shroud.
4. Follow the procedure listed in
After working inside your system
5. Install any device drivers required for the card as described in the documentation for
the card.

The write-protect switch is on the IDSDM or vFlash module.
Installing the M.2 SSD module

Follow the safety guidelines listed in

Remove the air shroud.

Remove the BOSS card.

The procedure to remove the BOSS card is similar to the removing an
expansion card.
Follow the below steps to install a M.2 SSD module:
1. Connect the M.2 SSD module to the connector on the BOSS card.
2. Place the retention strap on the M.2 SSD module, and tighten the screw to secure the
module.
