4.3 SERVICE CALL CONDITIONS
4.3.1 SUMMARY
Section 4.4 classifies the SC codes into the controller errors and other errors. The
latter (the errors other than the controller errors) are classified into four types by
their reset procedures. The table lists the classification of the SC codes.

The error involves the fusing unit.

Turn the main switch off and on.

B
The error involves one or some
specific units. The machine
operates as usual, excluding the
related units.
Turn the operation switch off and
on.
C
The error is logged. The SC-code
history is updated. The machine
operates as usual.
The SC will not be displayed. Only
the SC history is updated.
Other
errors
D
The machine operation is disabled.
You can reset the machine by
turning the operation switch or main
switch off and on. If the error
recurs, the same SC code is
displayed.
Turn the operation switch or main
power switch off and on.
After you turn the main switch off, wait for one second or more before you turn the
main switch on (
SC 672). All SCs are logged. Printing logging data (SP5-990-
004) in SP mode can check the latest 10 SC codes detected and total counters
when the SC code is detected.
NOTE:
1) If the problem concerns electrical circuit boards, first disconnect, then
reconnect the connectors before replacing the PCBs.
2) If the problem concerns a motor lock, first check the mechanical load
before replacing motors or sensors.
