Liquid Sensor Setup
The liquid sensor is a corrosion-resistant and optically-based sensor intended for detecting large leaks inside the
Analyzer. The sensor is mounted on the inside floor of the Analyzer [and on the lower-left inside wall of any
optional Hazardous Location enclosure (ATEX or C1/D2)] and triggers when the face of the sensor contacts fluid.
(Due to variations in installation conditions, fluid from leaks may not immediately contact the sensor.) When a
liquid leak is detected, the Analyzer reports this error, displays a pop-up message, and stops analysis.
The
I/O
tab contains a
Liquid Sensor Setup
button for GEAI factory-technician use to enable the liquid sensor
before a new Analyzer [and any optional Hazardous Location enclosure (ATEX or C1/D2)] is shipped.
To enable a liquid sensor
1. Verify that the Analyzer has a liquid sensor installed on the inside floor of the Analyzer (see
). (If
you are unsure of the presence of a liquid sensor, do NOT enable this feature.)
2. Select the
I/O
tab.
3. Press the
Liquid Sensor Setup
button. The
Main Enclosure Liquid Sensor
and
Auxiliary Enclosure
Liquid Sensor
buttons appear.
4. Press the
Main Enclosure Liquid Sensor
button and press the
Enabled
button.
5. Verify that the
Main Enclosure Liquid Sensor
button now shows an
Enabled
state.
