FMS Knob
(Flight Management
System Knob)
Press to turn the selection cursor ON/OFF.
Data Entry:
With cursor ON, turn to enter data in the highlighted field (large
knob moves cursor location; small knob selects character for highlighted cursor
location)
Scrolling:
When a list of information is too long for the window/box, a scroll bar
appears, indicating more items to view. With cursor ON, turn large knob to scroll
through the list.
Page Selection
: Turn knob on MFD to select the page to view (large knob selects a
page group; small knob selects a specific page from the group)

Softkey Selection
Keys
Press to select softkey shown above the bezel key on the PFD/MFD display

ALT Knob
Sets the Selected Altitude, shown above the Altimeter (the large knob selects the
thousands, the small knob selects the hundreds)

AP Key
Engages/disengages the Autopilot and Flight Director in the default vertical and lateral
modes.

FD Key
Activates/deactivates the Flight Director only. Pressing the
FD
key turns on the Flight Direc-
tor in the default vertical and lateral modes. Pressing the
FD
key again deactivates the Flight
Director and removes the command bars, unless the Autopilot is engaged. If the Autopilot
is engaged, the
FD
key is disabled.

NAV Key
Selects/deselects the Navigation mode.

ALT Key
Selects/deselects the Altitude Hold mode.

VS Key
Selects/deselects the Vertical Speed mode.

FLC Key
Selects/deselects the Flight Level Change mode.

Engages/disengages the Yaw Damper.

Selects/deselects the Heading Select mode.
