Safety and hazard information
Improper installation, modifications or incorrect operation can cause injuries and
property damage.

The information under “Technical data” refers to the load capacity. If this infor-
mation is not provided, the product may not be used!

The surface where the product is screwed in must be flat and at a right angle to
the threaded hole where the bolt will be inserted. Maximum countersinking of the
threaded hole = nominal diameter of the thread.
–
When screwed in, the collar of the bolt must make firm contact (do not use
washers), and the eye bolt must rotate freely by 360°.
–
The product must be turned in the direction of force before applying a load. It is
not suited for rotational movements while under load.
–
The indicated loads apply for a minimum bolt length of 1.5 × nominal thread
diameter in steel with a tensile strength of Rm >340 N/mm².

Usage temperature from –40°C to 100°C.
–
Make certain that you and others are not within the range of movement of the
load (danger area).

Suspended loads must be monitored.
–
Carry out a visual inspection before every use.
Proper use

The product is for lifting and moving loads.

The product may only be operated in accordance with the technical specifications.

The rated load indicated on the product may not be exceeded.
Foreseeable misuse

The product is not suitable for rotational movements while bearing a load.
User qualifications
The product may only be used by authorized and trained persons in compliance with
DGUV Rule 100-500 and the corresponding national regulations for use outside of
Germany.
Storage

Store the product only in the original packaging in a dry and protected environment.
Environmental conditions
The product may not be brought into contact with aggressive chemicals, acids or their
vapors. These are potentially harmful to the product and could cause damage and
failure.
Product description
The lifting eye bolt GN 581 can be rotated after attachment. This allows for adjustment
of the direction of force, and it is not possible to accidentally unscrew it or overtighten
it, as can happen with lifting eye bolt DIN 580. Lifting eye bolt (rotating) GN 581 offers a
high load carrying capacity and is tested to meet safety standards (safety factor 4) in all
load directions. The rated load carrying capacity listed under “Technical data” is clearly
marked on the ring. The rated load capacity applies to the least favorable load situation
with respect to the load types listed here. The integrated RFID transponder clearly
marks and identifies the lifting eye bolt (rotating) GN 581, e.g. during the prescribed
regular inspection. The hexagon socket bolt cannot be removed from the ring. The flat
key (type B) is suitable for tool-free installation. Inserting the key in the hexagon socket
of the bolt allows the bolt to be screwed in and out manually.
RFID transponder
The integrated RFID transponder clearly marks and identifies the lifting gear, e.g. during
the prescribed regular inspection.

Very high resistance to impact, water and dirt.

The integrated RFID chip does not impair the performance of the part.

Compatible with typical high-frequency transponder standards as per ISO 15693
with a frequency of 13.56 MHz HF.
