Auto sweep function
The auto sweep function provides automatic training of the sonar beam in left and right
directions to enable search over a wide area. The auto sweep range (width) can be
set from [2 Auto Sweep Range] (located at main menu
→
[9 Installation Setting]
→
[2
Operation Setting]
→
[6 Sweep/Tilt Settings]; see section 9.3.3).
Note:
Auto sweep is not available when the transducer is retracted, or when Target
Lock is active.
1. Press the
AUTO SWEEP
button while transmitting to toggle between activating/
deactivating the function.
Each time the function is activated or deactivated, an indication appears at the
bottom of the screen for five seconds.
When activated, the auto sweep function scans the preset range and the screen
shows the auto sweep marker, indicating the center of the sweep range. The
marker also moves accordingly when the center of the range is changed.
2. Push the
SWEEP
control to move the center of the sweep area as required.
3. Press the
AUTO SWEEP
button again to deactivate the function.
Note 1:
If target lock is activated while auto sweep is active, auto sweep is automati-
cally deactivated. In this case, auto sweep is reactivated when target lock is deactivat-
ed, however the center is moved based on the target lock direction at deactivation.

You can adjust the auto sweep speed from [3 Auto Sweep Speed] (located at
main menu
→

Note 3:
If the
RESET SWEEP
button is pressed while the auto sweep function is ac-
tive, the center of the sweep range is moved to 0°.
