Clean NIBP cuff, Air hose up 

To clean the cloth bag of the cuff, remove the rubber bag and wash it using neutral detergent. Restore the 
rubber bag after drying 
and use. Do not soak the rubber bag in water or antiseptic solution. 
 

Cleaning/Disinfecting the SpO

2

 Sensor 

[NELLCOR sensor] 

 

Do not soak the sensor in water or antiseptic solution. 

 

Please wipe DURASENSOR with antiseptic solution like 70% alcohol. Do not disinfect by applying 
radioactive rays, steam, or ethylene oxide. 

 

OXISENSOR is a single-patient use type sensor. Do not reuse or resterilize. 

 

[MASIMO Sensor] 

 

Do not immerse sensor or patient cable in water, solution or washing solution. (sensors and connectors are 
not water proof. 

 

Do not disinfect sensors or patient cables with light irradiation, steam, or ethylene oxide. 

 

Masimo Reusable sensor (LNOP DCI) and patient cable can be cleaned by the following procedure. 
1. Remove the sensor from a patient. Disconnect the patient cable from the sensor. 
2. Pull out the sensor from the Super Unit. 
(3) Wipe the sensor and cable using 70% isopropyl alcohol cotton. 
4. Dry with air before reuse. 

 

The Masimo disposable sensor can be used for the same patient repeatedly as long as the surfaces of the 
photoemitter and photoreceiver are kept clean and adhesion of the adhesive bands is maintained. 
The adhesion of the band can be restored by cleaning the surfaces with alcohol and air drying completely 
before reusing to patients. 

 

Cleaning and Sterilization of Airway Adapter 

 

Wash it off with warm soapy water and wash it, then immerse it in antiseptic solution and perform a low 
temperature sterilization treatment (such as glutaraldehyde). Dry after rinsing in sterile water. 

 

Use EOG (Ethylene Oxide Gas) to sterilize. Proper ventilation must be performed. 

 

Before re-using the airway adapter, make sure the window is dry and no residue is left. 
Please check that the adapter is not damaged by cleaning/sterilization process or during handling. 

 

C A U T I O N

 

 

Do not use autoclave sterilization. 

 

Do not reuse / resterilize disposable airway adapter.
