Cleaning the Feed Roller
Clean the feed roller inside the printer if paper cannot be fed properly.
1.
Switch the power off by pressing the power
switch located on the left side of the printer
to the <O> position.
2.
Unplug the power cord from the power
outlet and the printer.
3.
Push the side button (right side) and open
the front cover.
4.
Turn the four lock levers of the drum
cartridge counterclockwise by 90 degrees.
Important
• Do not turn the lock levers by more than 90 degrees
with an excessive force.
• Make sure that nothing touches or scratches the
surface (black-colored film) of the belt unit. Scratches,
dirt, or oil from your hands on the film of the belt unit
may reduce print quality.
• When removing the drum cartridge, be careful not to
touch the belt unit.
5.
Hold the drum cartridge by the tabs at both
ends, and slide the cartridge toward the
front of the printer. Then, firmly hold the
cartridge by both ends, and lift the cartridge
out of the printer.
Important
• Make sure to firmly hold the drum cartridge to prevent
it from falling on the belt unit.
• Do not expose the drum cartridge to direct sunlight or
strong light.
