12.
Once you have adjusted for maximum Rx Power, stop and have the other side
perform Steps 7 – 10 while you report the observed Rx Power to the other
installer in real time.
If a signal still cannot be found, re-centre the steering blocks on BOTH terminals to
their original starting positions and repeat this whole procedure but starting at the
OTHER side first..
Stage 3 – Fine Tuning your Alignment
Once both SONAbeam terminals have attained a received signal, proceed to alternately
fine tune ONE TERMINAL AT A TIME for optimum receive signal strength by
‘tweaking’ the azimuth and elevation of each SONAbeam terminal in small incremental
adjustments.
Alternate your fine-tuning adjustments on each SONAbeam terminal, ONE AT A TIME,
until no further improvement can be noted.

NOTE…
The value illustrated above is for example purposes only! The actual Rx Power
values reported for your terminals will depend on link distance and current
atmospheric conditions.
When using a voltmeter to measure your received signal, 10volt @ the terminal’s
test points is about 1000uW of received optic power.
