Strain Relief for your Interface Cabling
In order to preserve the electrical safety rating of your SONAbeam terminal, the bundle
of interface cabling entering the terminal’s Customer Interface Area must include a strain
relief against someone pulling on one or more of these interface cables at the other end of
the interfacing conduit. A special strain relief is included in your terminal’s Installation
Kit for this purpose.
To install the Strain Relief:
1.
Obtain the special Strain Relief
from your Installation Kit:

Position the special Strain Relief into the conduit entrance,
as shown in
Figure 17
.
3.
Using a cable tie (also part of your Installation Kit), secure the special strain relief
to the entire cable bundle where it enters the terminal, as shown in
Figure 17
.
