7.7.1 Adjust paper guides
• Slide paper guide rails to leave a 2 mm gap
on both sides of a sample sheet (scales
show half of the paper’s width plus 2 mm).
Scales left and right are provided at both
ends of the conveyor, with “0” corres-
ponding to the centerline. The two guide
rails should be centered equally on both
left and right scales.
• Adjust the guide rails at both ends of the
conveyor.
• Check the setting with a sample sheet:
Material delivered to the inserter is
centered to both machines.
Sample page passes paper guides with
adequate leeway on both sides
(c. 1 - 2 mm).
• Check paper depressors and set so that
paper is securely guided along conveyor
path.
