7.1.2 Adjust paper guides
Caution!
The paper guides must always be
aligned to the center to make sure paper is
separated and transported flawlessly.
• Loosen paper guide locks so that the paper
guildes can easily be moved.
• Fold a sample sheet of paper lengthwise to
find the centerline of the sheet.
• Lay the sample sheet into the paper tray so
that the center line meets the center
markings of the single-sheet feeder.
• Move the two paper guides one after the
other up to the sample sheet so that a gap
of about 2 mm remains between the guide
and the sample sheet.
• Check the scale (ruler) to verify that the two
paper guides are equidistant from the the
center line: The two scale readings should
be the same.
• Tighten paper guide locking screws.
7.1.3 Adjust separator sluice
• Switch the inserting system ON to set up
the single-sheet feeder (refer to Ch. 3.1.1).
• Pull the pre-sluice upward until it clicks into
place securely.
