6.1.8 LIFTING
For information on lifting the baseplate with pump and driver, the baseplate with just the pump, the
shaft, or the internal assembly, refer to RECEIVING AND INSTALLATION: LIFTING.
6.1.9 INSTALLATION SCHEDULES
For assurance that the rotor will be in its running position after installation of the internal assembly,
the lower half of a bearing housing, a bearing, or a seal, Flowserve recommends the installation (or
assembly) of major parts according to the schedules shown in figures below, particularly whenever
seals or bearings are being installed.
To use either figure, start with the part (or assembly) block in the left-hand column and follow the
arrows, completing the tasks block-by-block as referenced in the right-hand column. For example: as
the arrows indicate in figure 2, the installation of an "old, unchanged bearing" is accomplished by
completing those tasks that are referenced in blocks 3B, 10 or 11 (or both, depending on the actual
circumstance) and block 12--but, to complete an installation of the internal assembly, as the arrows
indicate, requires the accomplishment of those tasks that are identified in blocks 1 through 12.
