9.1 Start-up mode

9.1.3 Selection of the transducer
If transducers are detected at a measuring channel, the input of parameters is finished.
• Press ENTER.
The main menu will be displayed.
If no or special transducers are connected, the transducer parameters have to be entered.
• Select
Standard
to use the standard transducer parameters stored in the transmitter.
• Press ENTER.
• Select the transducer frequency of the used transducer (see nameplate).
• Press ENTER.
9.1.4 Defining the PIN code
The current PIN code is displayed and can be changed. The combination 0000 must not be used.
• Define or confirm a PIN code.
• Press ENTER.
9.1.5 Input of sound path number and transducer distance
A value for the number of sound paths corresponding to the connected transducers and the entered parameters is
recommended.
• Change the value, if necessary.
• Press ENTER.
The recommended transducer distance will be displayed.
• Mount the transducers on the pipe and adjust the transducer distance.
• Press ENTER.
Reflec - reflection arrangement
Diagon - diagonal arrangement
The transducer distance is measured between the inner edges of the transducers.
In case of a measurement in diagonal arrangement on very small pipes, a negative transducer distance is possible.

Important!
The function of the transmitter is security relevant. A PIN code is requested:
→ to enter the sound path and the transducer distance
→ to carry out a field calibration
→ to stop a measurement
→ to initialize the transmitter
