9.2 Measuring mode
After the input and confirmation of the transducer distance, the transmitter changes automatically to the measuring mode.
If this display appears, a field calibration for the detected fluid has to be carried out.
9.2.1 Field calibration
The sound speed measurement has to be adjusted to the detected fluid. For this purpose, a field calibration has to be
carried out on the transmitter while the fluid to be detected is in the pipe.
• Press until CALIBRATE FLUID is displayed.
• Press ENTER.
• Enter the defined PIN code.
• Press ENTER.
The measurement is stopped for 5 s during the calibration. The calibration result is displayed and the measurement
continues automatically.
Display during the field calibration
The current fluid parameters are displayed. The calibration was successful.
This display will be indicated if the measured sound speed considerably differs from the sound speed of the fluid to be
detected.
Possible reasons:
• During the field calibration, the fluid to be detected was not in the pipe.
• The measuring system was not correctly installed.
This display will be indicated if the sound speed cannot be measured.
Possible reasons:
• The pipe is not completely filled.
• The measuring system was not correctly installed.
