12.3 Heat pump error codes
When a safety device is activated, an error code is displayed on the user interface (which does not include an external fault). The table below shows a list of all the
errors and corrective actions. Reset the safety by turning the unit OFF and back ON. If this procedure to reset the safety device is not successful, contact your local
dealer.

IU
Insufficient water flow (after 3 interventions er-
ror E8)
1.The wiring is incorrect (short-circuited or open). Reconnect the wire correctly.
2.The water flow is too low.
3. The water flow switch is faulty. Replace the water flow switch.
E1
IU
No phase or neutral or power supply below the
permissible level or phase connections inverted
(for three-phase unit only)
1.Check that the power supply cables are securely fastened.
2.Check the phase sequence and invert it, if necessary
E2
IU
Communications error between user interface
and hydronic board
1.The connection cable has been interrupted.
2.The communication cable sequence is incorrect. Reconnect the cable in the correct sequence.
3.If there is a strong magnetic filed or high power interference, like lifts, large power transformers, etc.
Add a barrier to protect the unit or move the unit elsewhere.
E3
IU
Final water outlet temperature probe fault (T1) 1.Check the probe resistance.
2.The probe connector is disconnected. Reconnect it.
3.The probe connector is wet. Remove the water and dry the connector. Apply waterproof adhesive
tape.
4.Faulty probe; replace it.
E4
IU
DHW heater temperature probe fault (T5)
1.Check the probe resistance.
2.The probe connector is disconnected. Reconnect it.
3.The probe connector is wet. Remove the water and dry the connector. Apply waterproof adhesive
tape.
4.Faulty probe; replace it.
E5
EU

1.Check the probe resistance.
2.The probe connector is disconnected. Reconnect it.
3.The probe connector is wet. Remove the water and dry the connector. Apply waterproof adhesive
tape.
4.Faulty probe; replace it.
E8
IU
No water flow
Make sure that all the shut-off valves in the hydraulic circuit are completely open.
1. Check if the water filter need cleaning.
2. Make sure there is no air in the system (bleed the air).
3. Check the water pressure. The water pressure must be > 1 bar.
4. Check that the pump speed setting is on the maximum speed.
5. Make sure that the expansion vessel is not broken or empty.
6. Check that the resistance in the water circuit is not too high for the pump.
