Hold the projector’s remote control 4" to 14" (10 cm to 36 cm) away from
and directly facing the MLC’s IR Learning LEDs. (You may need to
experiment to determine the best IR learning distance for each remote
control.) Press the desired button on the projector remote within 5 seconds.
If the command was learned successfully, the Status of IR Learning message
field briefly displays “Learn Succeeded,” then disappears.
If the command was not learned for any reason, the following dialog box
appears, telling you that the learn failed, and giving you the opportunity to
retry or cancel.

Using the Advanced Projector Config. tab
The Advanced Projector Config
.
tab, shown on the next page, provides a way to
check the type, length, and location of codes (IR and RS-232), if any, that are
stored in the memory blocks for the MLC buttons. On this tab you can also edit
or enter RS-232 codes (not IR), define the steps by which your projector’s audio
volume will be increased and/or decreased, and change the name of the
projector driver. If you want to enter your unidirectional RS-232 codes that are
not included in any of the downloadable drivers, you can program them on this
screen using Hex or ASCII.
You cannot edit IR commands; the advanced projector functions are
available for RS-232 only.
