MLC 52 Series MediaLink Controller • Installation

If you are attaching the wall box to wood, use four #8 or #10 screws or
10-penny nails. A minimum of ½ inch (1.3 cm) of screw threads must
penetrate the wood.
•
If you are attaching the wall box to metal studs or furniture, use four #8 or
#10 self-tapping sheet metal screws or machine bolts with matching nuts.
•
If you are using a mounting bracket with the wall box
, follow the directions
included with the bracket to attach the clips that fasten the bracket to the wall
or furniture.

If desired, replace the faceplate and/or button labels on the MLC. (See
previous section.)
9.
Cable and test the MLC before fastening it into the wall box, mounting
bracket, or furniture.
Rear panel/cable connections
The following diagrams show the location of the connector, switches, LEDs, and IR
sensors located on the back of the MLC 52 with standard and VC faceplates.
