AC Motor Control Box
3.8.6. Compactor Motor Disconnect
This switch controls the power going to the compactor motor through the Variable Frequency
Drive. It does not remove power from the
AC
Motor Control Box or any other part of the machine.
Also, note that after you switch this to the off position, it takes about 10 seconds for the power to
drain from the
VFD
.
The compactor may still be in motion during this time frame. In the
FLEX HDS
,
this switch removes power from both
VFD
s.
3.8.7. Mechanical Counter
The mechanical counter keeps track of the number of containers that the machine has ever
accepted, and it cannot be reset. If you replace the
AC
Motor Control Box, remove the mechanical
counter from the old box, and place it in the new one.
