Use
this
command
to
add
or
remove
permanent
(static)
ARP
table
entries.
Up
to
1,000
static
ARP
entries
are
supported
per
SecureStack
C2
system.
A
multicast
MAC
address
can
be
used
in
a
static
ARP
entry.
The
no
form
of
this
command
removes
the
specified
permanent
ARP
entry:

ip-address mac-address
no arp ip-address

Usage
The
IP
address
specified
for
the
static
ARP
entry
must
fall
within
one
of
the
subnets
or
networks
defined
on
the
routed
interfaces
of
the
system
(
or
stack,
if
applicable).
The
system
can
then
match
the
IP
address
of
the
static
ARP
entry
with
the
appropriate
routed
interface
and
associate
it
with
the
correct
VLAN.
Example
This
example
shows
how
to
add
a
permanent
ARP
entry
for
the
IP
address
130.2.3.1
and
MAC
address
0003.4712.7a99:
C2(su)->router(Config)#arp 130.2.3.1 0003.4712.7a99
ip proxy-arp
Use
this
command
to
enable
proxy
ARP
on
an
interface.
The
no
form
of
this
command
disables
proxy
ARP.

Age (min)
Interval (in minutes) since the entry was entered in the table.
Hardware Addr
MAC address mapped to the entry’s network address.

Encapsulation type used for the entry’s network address.
Interface
Interface (VLAN or loopback) through which the entry was learned.
ip
‐
address
Specifies
the
IP
address
of
a
device
on
the
network.
Valid
values
are
IP
addresses
in
dotted
decimal
notation.
mac
‐
address
Specifies
the
48
‐
bit
hardware
address
corresponding
to
the
ip
‐
address
expressed
in
hexadecimal
notation.
