Console Login Configuration
When to Use
To restrict management access based on the specified user names and passwords, or to set the
invalid password threshold and time-out. There are two user types: Administrator and Guest. Only
the Administrator has write access for parameters governing the SNMP agent. You should
therefore assign a user name and password to the Administrator as soon as possible, and store it in
a safe place.
How to Access
Use the arrow keys to highlight the
Console Login Configuration
menu item on the Management
Setup Menu screen and press ENTER. The Console Login Configuration screen,

displays.

IP Trap Managers Screen Field Descriptions
Use this field...
To...
IP Address
Enter the IP address of the trap manager.
Community Name
Enter/specify the community for trap management access.
Status
Set administrative status of selected entry to ENABLED or
DISABLED.
NOTE:
If for some reason your password is lost, or you cannot gain access to the
System Configuration Program, refer to your User Installation Guide for instructions to
reset your Password and Community names to the factory default values.
