Authentication
Access mode of all
ports
Select the access mode that will be applied to all ports. The options
available are as follows:
No Change – No changes to current configuration.
AUTO – Causes the module to intercept frames and process them
before transmitting out the ports.
FORCEAUTH – Allows frames to flow in and out the port
regardless of the authentication state.
FORCEUNAUTH – Except for broadcast/unknown unicast frames,
all other type frames are prevented from ingressing to the switch.
The default is No Change.
To select the option, use the Tab key to highlight the

field, step to one of the options described
above using the SPACE bar, then press ENTER.
Port #
See the port numbers of all ports known to the device. Up to 12 ports
can be displayed at a time. To see additional ports, select NEXT PAGE
and press ENTER to display the authentication type and status for the
next 12 ports.
Method
See the authentication type configured for each port:
EAP
(Extensible
Authentication Protocol) or
NONE
. The EAP protocol is encapsulated
in LAN frames according to the 802.1X standard.
