Replacement of Fan Module
To replace the fan module (SPARE-508):
1. Remove the two fan plugs at the top of the carrier board. See

in the Figure 43 inset. If necessary,
loosen the power module cage cover at
B
to allow access to the plugs.
2. Using a #2 Phillips screwdriver, remove the two screws securing the fan module. See
C
in Figure 43
.
3. Slide the fan module out of its slot in the direction indicated by
D
in Figure 43. Note that the module will
have to slide under the transformer cables

, which have not been removed.

4. Replace the fan module. Perform all previous steps in reverse order. See Figure 43.
Insert the fan module by passing it under the transformer cables

Replace the screws
