run cold water and turn the disposer on,

after grinding is complete, let the cold
water flow for a few seconds;

switch the disposer off ;

The food waste disposer has been designed to
grind an homogeneous mix of food waste,
rather than single typologies of waste.
Example list of “critical” food waste
especially if inserted separately

Banana skins, corn husks, pineapple or artichoke
leaves, asparagus and any extremely fibrous food
inserted into disposer, in excessive quantities, have to
be chopped in advance and, in any case, slowly insert
into disposer together with a mix of other homogeneous
food waste.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
If the disposer is used properly it does not need neither cleaning nor maintenance. Over time, grease and food particles may accumulate in the grind chamber causing
unpleasant odour, or when not using disposer for a long time, we suggest to apply the following procedure:

ut into disposer a sliced lemon and a few ice cubes;

turn the disposer ob without water for 5-10 seconds;
3
run the cold water until grinding has been completed;

urn the disposer off;

lose the cold water;
DO NOT USE AGGRESSIVE CLEANERS (such as caustic soda or other) TO CLEAN THE DISPOSER AND THE DRAIN LINE

As far as other household appliances, also for food waste disposer a regular use leads to a greater satisfaction for the end
user in the course of time – In order to overcome the most common problems caused by inexperience we suggest to:

Learn to use the disposer gradually and, if any doubts arise, ask the retailer for an explanation;

Read this section which is dedicated especially to solving problems;
IN MANY CASES THE SOLUTION TO THE INCONVENIENCE WILL BE IMMEDIATE AND WILL NOT REQUIRE ANY TECHNICAL AID
Every time you may need to inspect the disposer: turn off disposer, disconnect the disposer’s plug and close the water.

use the hexagonal wrench to
release the disposer jam

insert the hexagonal wrench into
the centre hole on the bottom of
the disposer and turn anti and
clockwise
The motor starts working again but
the protection (red reset button)
continues to intervene
o
the water has not been used
correctly and /or excessive
quantities of extremely
fibrous food has been
inserted into the disposer
o
use the hexagonal wrench to
release the disposer jam;
o
press the red reset button
and run the disposer normally
for 2 minutes;
o
repeat this step three times;
o
leave the motor to cool down for
at least 5 minutes before each
successive start up;
o
otherwise call assistance or the
retailer;
