Use this feature to alert a pre-selected station during a call when help is
needed. Using this feature does not disrupt your current call.
A DSS key must be programmed to activate Help Requesting:
1.
Press
>3URJUDP.H\@

2.
Choose and press DSS key.
3.
Dial feature access code (default dial number: #1443)
4.
Dial the destination station.
5.
Press the selected DSS key again.
6.
During a call when you need help, press the
HELP-
REQUESTING
DSS key.
Your programmed DSS key LED is lit while the destination phone
rings. The LED winks when the call is answered.
The destination station views the help message on their station
display while their station is ringing.
Tip
: Discuss with Co-Worker/Partner what Help procedure should
be performed when Help is requested.

During a call, press
>+ROG@
to place the second party on hold so that
you can place another call, transfer the call or answer another call.
The Hold softkey icon is shown in inverse video indicating that a call
has been placed on hold at your station.
The held party hears music or a tone (system-defined).
To Pickup the Held Call:
1.
Press
>+ROG@
again.
2.
Choose
>5H&RQQHFW@
. If more than one party has been placed on
hold, scroll between names by using
>1H[W@
or the Volume
Up/Down buttons.
If you do not return to the call on hold within a predetermined
amount of time, the call will automatically return to you.
NOTE
: If your telephone is programmed with Hard Hold, the
message
CALL ON HOLD
appears after placing a call on hold.
When Hard Hold is activated on a call, your station will be
considered busy for additional incoming calls. However, outgoing
calls can still be made.

Use
>,GOH'LVSOD\@
to hide your GKT system lines. This is a toggle
feature, press again to have the system lines reappear.
When your GKT is in idle, the system lines display the time, date
and group name on the first line and your name and number on the
second line. When the GKT is not in idle mode, the system lines
change to reflect the current telephony operation.
When the idle display is turned off (icon is not in inverse video), the
system lines do not appear when the GKT is in idle mode. However,
the system lines return to reflect current information during all other
modes: ring, busy, feature activation, etc.

to redial the last external or network number dialed.
Pressing the asterisk key (*) from the keypad also redials the last
external number called.
