Directory Used
Resources
Displays the number of used Directory records and the number of used bytes for all the
records. Each Directory contact entry and all its information is defined as one record. A
maximum of 1000 records at 64 kB is allowed. Therefore, if you have a total of 500
records, each record on average cannot exceed 128 bytes. More records would force you
to reduce the size of the records. Fewer records would allow you to increase the size of
each record.
The information is displayed in the following format:
MEMORY:
x
kB/
64
kB - where
x
is the number of used memory in kilobytes for the all
the Directory records.
RECORDS:
n
/1000 – where
n
is the number of all the use contact entries (records) in the
Directory, including those in the Private Directory.
Surpassing either one of these limits, results in the message:
Insufficient
Resources
.
Set Private Password
Choose this option to set a new password or modify an existing password. This is the
password used to allow/deny entry and modifications to the PRIVATE Directory or to
other options that deal with the Private Directory such as clearing the Private Directory
Records (see the next Toolkit option).
