Service Procedures

Input Shaft Removal and Installation

Remove the snap ring retaining the Input Shaft to the
Main Drive Gear.

Remove the Input Shaft from the Main Drive Gear.

Inspect the Input Shaft Bushing, replace if damaged.

Input Shaft Installation

If necessary, complete installation of the Input Shaft
Bushing.

Install the Input Shaft into the Main Drive Gear splines.

Install the snap ring that retains the Input Shaft to the
Main Drive Gear

Install the Input Shaft Bearing onto the Input Shaft.

Note:

The external snap ring on the Input Shaft Bearing

should face out.
