ACTIVEX SECURITY WARNINGS
You may get ActiveX security warnings when you attempt to logon via the Web browser.
Two examples of these warnings messages are displayed below.
The security settings below are recommended for Internet Explorer 6 & 7 respectively...
To set these, proceed as follows..Launch Internet Explorer, Select Tools, Internet Options,
Security Tab, Custom Level and then locate the "ActiveX controls & plugins" section.
For Internet Explorer 6 ...
>> Automatic prompting for ActiveX control = Disable
>> Binary & script behaviours = Enable
>> Download signed ActiveX controls = Enable
>> Download unsigned ActiveX controls = Enable
>> Initialise & script ActiveX not marked as safe = Prompt
>> Run ActiveX controls & plugins = Enable
>> Script ActiveX controls marked as safe for scripting = Enable
For Internet Explorer 7 ...
>> Allow previously unused ActiveX controls to run = Disable
>> Allow Scriptlets = Prompt
>> Automatic Prompting for ActiveX controls = Enable
>> Binary & script behaviours = Enable
>> Display video & animation on a page...etc = Enable or Disable
>> Download Signed Activex = Prompt
>> Download Unsigned ActiveX = Prompt
>> Initialise & Script ActiveX not marked as safe = Prompt
>> Run ActiveX controls & plugins = Enable
>> Script ActiveX marked safe = Enable
Note that the option above for "Displaying video" does not affect the use of the ActiveX
plugin.
