3. Error Messages
When any feeding error or abnormal movement occurs, error information will be displayed on the LCD
monitor.
3-1. Messages about Paper Jam
When a paper jam occurs, the following messages appear on the LCD monitor. The following (1) to (3)
have the same solution.
(1) E-020 Jam1(paper transport)
<Cause>
The cover gets jammed at the cover feed section.
(2) E-021 Jam2(paper exit)
<Cause>
The cover gets jammed at the cover exit.
(3) E-026 Jam3(paper transport<=>paper exit)
<Cause>
The cover gets jammed between the cover feed section and cover exit section.
Paper ejection

<Solution>
Press the paper ejection button on the monitor to remove the jammed cover. While pressing
the button, the paper feed motor will keep turning. When you release the button, the motor
will stop turning. Once the jammed cover is removed, the error is removed automatically.
If the jammed cover is still there, open the main cover and remove it with your hand while
turning the jam removing knob.
