2. Troubleshooting
When trouble has occurred, find the symptom from the table below and solve the trouble according to
the solution. If you cannot solve the trouble, contact your dealer.
2-1. Stacker Problem
Symptom
Cause
Solution
The booklets do not
align in the stacker.
You are not using the stacker side guide
or the stacker side guide is not in the
appropriate position.
Use the stacker side guide or correct its
position. ( p.3-18)
The position of the book exit damper is
not appropriate.
Adjust the position of the book exit
damper. ( p3-19)
The hispeed mode is set to ON.
Set the hispeed mode to OFF.

The stacker stopper stands away from
the booklet.
Press the stacker stopper against the
booklet.
The booklets drop at an
angle.
The hispeed mode is selected.
Set the hispeed mode to OFF. ( p.4-22)
There are some glue on
the cover of the booklet.
There is some glue sticking to the
stacker.
Clean the stacker and around it.

The stacker does not
move.
The receiving tray is set to ON.

There is a dent on the

There is some glue sticking to the

The booklet gets stuck
on the book exit damper
and does not come out.
The impact absorption at the book
exit damper is too high for the booklet
weight.
Decrease the impact absorption using
the book exit damper adjustment lever.

2-2. Milling Problem
Symptom
Cause

The clamp stops before
the milling operation.
(The caution on
positional deflection and
milling inverter error is
displayed.)
The milling depth you have set is invalid
for the book block thickness.
Reduce the milling depth. ( p.2-6,4-16)
The clamp movement speed is too fast
for the book block thickness.
Reduce the speed of the clamp.
( p.4-16)
Milling is not applied
evenly to the spine.
When you place the book block in the
clamp, the book block is bent.
Place the book block properly. ( p.3-2)
There is a lot of paper
chips around the milling
section.
The dust collection is full.
Empty the dust collection referring to its
manual.
