Universal Repeater
Parameters
SSID
- Set a name for the router to be identified.
MAC Address (Optional) -
Type the MAC address of the
Access Point that VigorFly 210 wants to connect to.
Channel –
Means the channel of frequency of the wireless
LAN. The default channel is 6. You may switch channel if
the selected channel is under serious interference. If you
have no idea of choosing the frequency, please select
AutoSelect to let system determine for you.
Security Mode -
There are several modes provided for you
to choose. Each mode will bring up different parameters
(e.g., WEP keys, Pass Phrase) for you to configure.
Universal Repeater Auto
Connection
Before enabling such function, you have to manually type
SSID, MAC Address, Channel, Security Mode and
Encryption Type (if required) of the access point you want
to use first, and click
OK
to save the settings.
Auto Connection –
Check the
Enable
box to perform the
network connection automatically.
Show auto-connection list
– Click it to open another page
which will display all the access point(s) available for
Universal Repeater mode for automatic network
connection.
If you have no idea about the SSID and MAC address of the
access point you want to connect, simply go to
Wireless
LAN>>Access Point Discovery.
Click
Scan
and wait for
the scanned result. Choose one of the scanned devices you
want and click the
Select
button on the bottom. The related
information (including SSID, MAC address, Channel,
Security mode, Encryption type, and so on) of that access
point will be brought and displayed on this page
automatically. Then, check
Enable
for Auto Connection
and click
OK
to save the changes. VigorFly 210 will keep
such information. Next time, it will make network
connection for the computer(s) in LAN automatically when
the computer is powered on.
Universal Repeater IP
Configuration
Choose it to let current router (treated as a client)
connecting to other Access Point. You have to specify
connection type, IP address, Subnet Mask and Gateway IP
address of this router.
Connection Type
– Choose Static IP or DHCP.
