Such mode allows the router to access IPv6 network through IPv4 network.
However, 6in4 offers a prefix outside of 2002::0/16. So, you can use a fixed endpoint rather
than any cast endpoint. The mode has more reliability.
Available settings are explained as follows:
Item Description
Remote Endpoint IPv4
Address
Type the static IPv4 address for the remote server.
6in4 IPv6 Address
Type the static IPv6 address for IPv4 tunnel with the value
for prefix length.
LAN Routed Prefix
Type the static IPv6 address for LAN routing with the value
for prefix length.
Tunnel TTL
Type the number for the data lifetime in tunnel.
After finished the above settings, click
OK
to save the settings.
Below shows an example for successful IPv6 connection based on 6in4 Static Tunnel mode.
