■ Network Services
You can also use network services such as
the Voice Mail service and Call Forwarding
service if you have subscribed to these
network services.
z
Before using the network services overseas,
“Remote Control” (P.425) must be set to
“Activate”.
z
Even when the operation such as Activate or
Deactivate is available, the services may be
restricted or unavailable. For details, refer to
the “Mobile Phone User’s Guide [Network
Services]” and the international service
guide such as “Mobile Phone User’s Guide
[International Services]”, etc.
■ SMS
This service allows you to exchange text
messages with subscribers to overseas
carriers other than DOCOMO.
z To send an SMS to a user of a roaming
operator overseas, enter “+” and the country
code in front of the phone number (when the
phone number begins with “0”, omit the first
“0”).
You can also send SMS by entering “010”,
the country code, the other party’s phone
number in this order. (To reply to received
SMS from overseas, enter “010”.)

When sending a SMS to a user of a roaming
operator overseas and a character
contained in SMS is not supported by the
other party’s mobile phone, the character
may not be properly displayed. See
international service guides such as “Mobile
Phone User’s Guide [International
Services]” for details.

Inquiries overseas
For inquiries overseas such as lost, stolen,
charge accumulation or malfunction, refer to
“For lost, stolen, accumulated amount
settlement overseas” or “For malfunction
overseas” on the back cover of this manual.
Note that you are charged for the call and
communication even after the FOMA terminal
is lost or stolen.
