Air Filter Replacement
There are five air filters in the
POWER
4dv
and
POWER
2v
projectors, one in each
side cover and three underneath. The
POWER
5dv
projector has only three as it does
not have any filters in the side covers. All filters must be regularly checked and
replaced in order to prevent the projector from overheating.
Air filters are only supplied in complete sets and it is recommended that all filters
are replaced at least every 3 months. As a matter of good practice, the user is
recommended to renew all the filters each time the lamp is replaced.
Before attempting to remove any of the projector's covers, you must turn off the
projector and disconnect from the mains supply.
TOP REAR COVER
The rear cover on the top of the projector contains an air outlet grill to allow heat
dissipation from the lamp. An air filter is located on the underside of the grill and to
check or replace it, you must first remove the cover. This is accomplished by
releasing the two shoulder screws at the rear, then while gently lifting, slide the
cover back towards the rear of the projector. The air filter will now be exposed and
can be easily removed from the centre of the cover and replaced.
For safety reasons, the projector has an interlock system preventing its operation
with the lid removed.
UNDERSIDE
There is one circular and two rectangular air filters accessed from the underside of
the projector. The circular filter is located in the filter cassette which slides into, and
out from, the castellated mounting bracket for replacement.
The rectangular filters are located inside hinged panels to the front of the projector.
These panels are released by removing the retaining screw, and drop down to reveal
the velcro-held filters.
