SBB Thermal Stabilization
For proper operation upon initial power application, the DIGITAL SBB
storage device temperature should be within the range of 18-29°C
(65-85°F).

Always stabilize disk drives in the operating environment before
installation or operation. Otherwise, applying power can damage
the media or associated.

Condition Then You Must …
When there is condensation on the outside of
the SBB Stabilize the device and the SBB in the
operating environment for 6 hours or until the
condensation is no longer visible, whichever is
longer. Do not install a storage device until it
stabilizes.
When there is no condensation on the outside
of the SBB Thermally stabilize the device for the amount
of time specified
