Shutting Down the Subsystem
To protect data and the devices you must complete the procedures in
Table 5–5 before you begin installing the cables.
Table 5–5 Shutting Down the UltraSCSI Subsystem
1. On the host dismount the UltraSCSI RAID subsystem disk drives.
2. Connect a maintenance terminal to an array controller.

3. Shut down the other array controller by entering the command—
shutdown other_controller.
4. Shut down the array controller by entering the command—
shutdown this_controller.
5. Shut down both array controllers.
6. Turn off all the ac power controllers in all the enclosures.
