Fine tuning the telecom configuration
To fine tune the telecom configuration for the CX Video Gateway, modify the
telecom.conf
file, which resides in the
vx/callserver/conf/
directory. The
telecom.conf
file that ships with the gateway includes placeholders within <> brackets, such as
<SS7_switch_type>
(for ISUP models). Replace these placeholders with
appropriate values.

Settings for all models
Specify the following parameter types for all CX Video Gateway models:
Parameter
Description
type
Trunk
Trunks that the media board uses. Comment out the other trunks.

Route
Information for each route, including the route identifier, logical identifiers for
associated trunks, and route selection strategy.

DTMF
Determines whether the gateway can:
•
Accept an incoming SIP INFO message with DTMF content.
•
Detect in-band DTMF in 3G-324M communications.
•
Send an outbound DTMF.
You can also specify the length of DTMF events that the gateway generates.

Note:
The factory sets the parameters for the Media
_
board and Resources
keywords. Do not change these settings without contacting Dialogic Services and
Support.
Trunk settings
Use the Trunk keyword to specify the trunks that the media board uses. Comment
out the other trunks. The following table describes the parameters for the Trunk
keyword that you can change if the defaults do not describe your configuration:

Unique logical trunk identifier.
Valid values: 1 - 128.
sig_board_num
Logical signaling board identifier, referring to a board previously declared with
the ISDN
