Creating routes
Routing clear channel data
CCXML applications can create an outgoing call using a clear channel media stream
for both voice only and video calls. You can create a routing rule to specify that the
outgoing SIP call should only supply the Clearmode audio codec in the SDP. If not
set, the SIP call will not include the Clearmode audio codec.
The Clearmode audio codec complies with RFC 4040, RTP Payload Format for a 64
kbit/s Transparent Call.
To route outgoing calls in clear channel mode, follow these steps:

Access the Vision™ Console, as described in

Click
Resources
in the Configuration menu, and enable clear channel.

Click
Gateway routes
in the Provisioning menu.
The Call routing table page appears.

Click
New
to create a new routing entry or click
Edit
to edit an existing routing rule.
The Edit Routing Entry page appears.

In the To outgoing field, enter the hint string
clearchannel:'true'
. Enter values for other fields
on this page.

Click
Apply
.
The Vision™ Console adds the new rule to the routing table.
If a syntax error occurs in the new routing rule, the Vision™ Console displays an error
message. Correct the rule, and click
OK
.

Click
Services
in the Operations menu.
On the Services page, start or restart gateway services to apply the new configuration.
For example, the following routing table entry routes outgoing SIP calls in clear
channel mode:
