802.1x Commands

User Guidelines

It is recommended to disable the spanning tree or to enable spanning-tree PortFast mode on 
802.1x edge ports (ports in 

auto

 state that are connected to end stations), in order to go 

immediately to the forwarding state after successful authentication. 

Examples

The following example enables 802.1x authentication on the interface:

dot1x re-authentication

The 

dot1x re-authentication

 interface configuration command enables periodic re-authentication 

of the client. To return to the default setting, use the 

no

 form of this command.

Syntax

dot1x re-authentication 

no dot1x re-authentication

 

Default Configuration

Periodic re-authentication is disabled.

There are no user guidelines for this command.
