Ethernet Configuration Commands

port storm-control include-multicast

The 

port storm-control include-multicast 

global configuration command enables the device to 

count Multicast packets together with Broadcast packets. To disable counting of Multicast packets, 
use the 

no 

form of this command.

Syntax

port storm-control include-multicast

no port storm-control include-multicast

Default Configuration

Multicast packets are not counted.

Command Modes 

Global Configuration mode

User Guidelines

To control multicasts storms use the commands 

port storm-control broadcast enable

 and 

port storm-control broadcast rate

.

Example 

The following example enables the counting of Multicast packets.

port storm-control broadcast enable

The 

port storm-control broadcast enable 

interface configuration command enables Broadcast 

storm control. To disable Broadcast storm control, use the 

no 

form of this command.
