dead-interval
The
dead-interval ospf
virtual link
interface configuration command sets the interval at which
hello packets must not be seen before its neighbors declare the router down. To return to the
default time, use the
no
form of this command.
Syntax
dead-interval

Specifies the interval (in seconds). The value must be the same for all nodes on
the network. (Range: 0 - 2147483647)
Default Configuration
The default is 60 seconds.

User Guidelines
The interval is advertised in router hello packets. This value must be the same for all routers
and access servers on a specific network.
Example
The following example sets the interval at which hello packets must not be seen before its
neighbors declare the router down to 100 seconds.
retransmit-interval
The
retransmit-interval ospf virtual link
interface configuration command specifies the time
between link-state advertisement (LSA) retransmissions for adjacencies belonging to the OSPF
virtual link interface. To return to the default value, use the
no
form of this command.

Time (in seconds) between retransmissions. It must be greater than the
expected round-trip delay between any two routers on the attached network.
