User Guidelines
You must use the
crypto certificate generate
command to generate the HTTPS certificate.
Example
The following example enables the device to be configured from a browser.

The
crypto certificate generate
global configuration command generates a self-signed HTTPS
certificate.

—Specifies the certificate number. (Range: 2 characters)

key-generate
—Regenerates the SSL RSA key.

length
—Specifies the SSL RSA key length. (Range: 512 - 2048)

string
—Specifies the passphrase used to export the certificate in PKCS12 file format. If
unspecified, the certificate cannot be exported. (Range: 8-96 characters)
•
common- name
—Specifies the fully qualified URL or IP address of the device. (
Range: 1-64)
•
organization-unit
—Specifies the organizational unit or department name. (Range: 1-64)
•
organization
—Specifies the organization name. (Range: 1-64)
•
location
—Specifies the location or city name. (Range: 1-64)
•
state
—Specifies the state or province name. (Range: 1-64)
•
country
—Specifies the country name. (Range: 1-2)
•
days
—Specifies the number of days a certification is valid. (Range: 30-3650)
Default Configuration
The Certificate and SSL RSA key pairs do not exist.

—The default value is 1.
length
—The default value is 1024.
