Changing the print intensity
When you use Datacard monochrome ribbons, the printer identifies the ribbon and changes internal values for
optimal printing of a range of card features. (For example, the printer uses slightly different values to print with
black ribbon than with red ribbon.) However, your card requirements might be different. For example, your card
might include a bar code and you might want to change print intensity to produce the most readable bar codes.
Consider changing the print intensity in the following situations:
•
You use infrared bar code readers. Bar codes often are most readable when printed with lower intensity.
•
You print using a small font size. Small characters often print better when printed with higher intensity.
•
The settings were changed previously and you want to return settings to the default.
