2.5 CHECK AND ADJUSTMENT

2.5.1 ADJUSTMENT OF NEUTRAL
(STOP) POSITION
1. Start the engine and set the engine speed to 2000 rpm
or higher.
2. Check whether the reaping drive pulley stops rotating,
when the range shift lever is in the neutral position and
the main shift lever is in the stop position.
3. If the reaping drive pulley continues to rotate, correct it
with the turnbuckle of the HST.

2.5.2 CHECK FOR RELIEF VALVE PRESSURE
A. PRESSURE OF CHARGE VALVE
1. Remove the plug from the HST's pressure measuring
port and set the pressure gauge (10 ~ 20 kgf/cm
2
) with
the adapter.
2. Start the engine, put the range shift lever to the neutral
position, and the main shift lever to the highest speed
position. Lift and lower the reaping unit repeatedly to
set the oil temperature approx. 50°C or higher.
3. Set the engine speed to 2,800 rpm and the main shift
lever to the stop position. Then, measure the charge
relief valve's pressure.
4. If the measured value is out of the specified range,
check the oil level, HST oil
fi
lter, HST suction
fi
lter (for
clogging), and charge pump (for wear and damage).

B. PRESSURE OF HIGH PRESSURE RELIEF
VALVE
1. Remove the plug from the pressure measuring port of
the HST high pressure relief valve (for forward driv-
ing) and set the pressure gauge (400 kgf/cm
2
) with the
adapter.
2. Start the engine, put the range shift lever to the neutral
position, and the main shift lever to the highest speed
position. Lift and lower the reaping unit repeatedly to
set the oil temperature approx. 50°C or higher.
3. Set the engine speed to 2,800 rpm, the range shift le-
ver to the high speed position, and the main shift lever
to the forward driving position. Then, measure the high
pressure relief valve pressure.
4. If the measured value is out of the specified range,
check the high pressure relief valve and the HST.
• There is only one type of high pressure relief valve. It
can be used both for forward and reverse driving.
• Since the high pressure relief valve for reverse
driving cannot be measured in its position, swap it
with that of the forward driving. And measure it when
it is installed in the forward diving place.
