4.4 CHECKING NORMAL OPERATION
A. CHECKING MANUAL OPERATION
1. Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position.
2. When the automatic feeding depth control switch is
put to the "Manual" position, the automatic feeding
depth control lamp goes off.
3. If moving the manual switch to the "Shallow" position,
the feeding chain is lowered to its lowest position.
4. If moving the manual switch to the "Deep" position, the
feeding chain is raised to its highest position.
B. CHECKING AUTOMATIC OPERATION
1. Set the straw sensor ON with a tape or equivalent.
2. With the parking brake pedal firmly depressed, en-
gage the stopper and secure it with the double safety
lock under the footstep.
3. Start the engine and increase the engine speed up to
approx. 2,500 rpm.
4. When the automatic feeding depth control switch is
put to the "Automatic" position, the automatic feeding
depth control lamp comes on.
5. Move the range shift lever to any position other than
"Neutral" and engage the threshing clutch (threshing
switch: ON).
6. When the shift lever is moved to the "Forward" posi-
tion (reverse switch: OFF, neutral switch: OFF) and
nothing contacts with the grain sensor S1 and S2 (S1,
S2: OFF), the feeding chain moves to the deep feed-
ing position.
7. When the grain sensors S1 and S2 are ON at the
same time, the feeding chain moves to the shallow
feeding position.
8. When the grain sensor S1 (straw side) is ON and the
S2 (grain side) is OFF, the feeding chain stops.
9. When the grain sensor S1 (straw side) is OFF and
the S2 (grain side) is ON, the front buzzer sounds
at short intervals and the check lamp and automatic
feeding depth control lamp on the instrument panel
blink. (The LED of the MICOM unit displays "E" and
"1" alternately.)
10. The feeding chain moves to the "Shallow" position,
when the feeding depth selection switch is set to the
"Shallow" position, the grain sensor S1 (straw side)
is ON, and the S2 (grain side) is OFF. If the grain
sensors S1 and S2 become OFF, the feeding chain
moves to the "Deep" position.
11. The feeding chain moves to the "Deep" position,
when the feeding depth selection switch is set to the
"Deep" position, the grain sensor S1 (straw side) is
ON, and the S2 (grain side) is OFF. If the grain sen-
sors S1 and S2 become ON, the feeding chain moves
to the "Shallow" position.
