OPERATING PROCEDURES

HOW TO OPERATE THE VEHICLE
Improper use of the vehicle or the lack of proper maintenance can cause damage or decreased
performance.
Read the warnings before trying to operate the vehicle.
To decrease the risk of severe injury or death resulting from loss of vehicle control, the following
warnings must be obeyed:
When driving vehicle, understand the terrain, traffic conditions and the environmental con-
ditions which change the terrain and the ability to control the vehicle.
Use caution and decreased speed when driving on rough terrain, for example loose dirt,
wet grass, gravel, water covered areas, etc.
Speed in reverse must be limited to a maximum of 10 MPH.
Keep a safe speed when driving down hill. Use the service brake to control speed when
traveling down a slope. A sudden stop or change of direction can cause loss of control.
Decrease speed before and during turns. Never drive the vehicle up, down, or across a
slope that is more than 14° (25% grade).
Refer to GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS for seating capacity.
To decrease the risk of severe injury or death resulting from improper vehicle operation, the fol-
lowing warnings must be obeyed:
Pressing accelerator pedal can cause accidental vehicle movement. Turn the key to the
‘OFF’ position when the vehicle is parked.
To prevent accidental movement when the vehicle is to be left without an operator,
engage the parking brake, turn the key to the ‘OFF’ position and remove the key.
Always stop the vehicle before moving the direction selector.
Do not take the vehicle out of ‘gear’ while in motion (move without power).
Check the area behind the vehicle before you operate in the reverse direction.
All persons must be seated with their seat belts fastened. Keep entire body inside vehicle
and hold on while vehicle is in motion.
